Com quase 20 anos de existência, o nome VEJA significa um convite para as pessoas olharem para além do tênis, e o que há por trás de sua produção. No entanto, sua estreia no Brasil foi sob o nome de VERT (verde em francês), em 2014, como uma resposta estratégica aos desafios legais, pois a nomenclatura original já estava registrada.

Em março de 2024, uma década depois, a VEJA continua a jornada iniciada pela VERT no país. A VERT agora é VEJA! O nome muda, mas a qualidade se mantém e o local de fabricação permanece o mesmo, o Brasil.
Em 2004, Sébastien Kopp e François-Ghislain Morillion, fundadores da VEJA, embarcaram na missão de reinventar um produto simbólico de sua geração e que perdura até hoje: o tênis. Os jovens franceses tinham a mesma idade, 25 anos, e o mesmo interesse pelos princípios do comércio justo.
A VEJA foi criada um ano depois, em 2005, com design parisiense, produção brasileira e uso de matérias-primas nacionais. A ideia era fazer de forma diferente, combinando projetos sociais, justiça econômica e materiais ecológicos, para impactar positivamente cada etapa da cadeia produtiva.
Os tênis da VEJA são vendidos hoje em mais de 100 países, e, ao longo da história da marca, já foram comercializados 14 milhões de pares. É o resultado do trabalho de uma equipe de mais de 500 pessoas, que atua sem publicidade, sem estoque e sem investidores, e atende Europa, Ásia, América do Norte e América do Sul.
Para celebrar este novo capítulo, a VEJA reintroduz seu primeiro tênis, o Volley. Lançado em 2005, no Palais de Tokyo em Paris, vendeu 5 mil pares e é inspirado no vôlei brasileiro dos anos 70. Desde então, a marca e a coleção cresceram em todo o mundo. O retorno desse modelo marca o início de mais uma etapa em sua trajetória. A primeira coleção da VEJA no Brasil será lançada em 22 de março, no site e em lojas parceiras por todo o país
